Since 1968, an international conference is organized every 3 years. It gives the occasion to keep up to date with the latest research in the field of archaeobotany, to maintain research networks and even to start new collaboration with colleagues coming mainly from Europe but also from all over the world.
Presentation of the opium poppy project
A poster communication has presented the objectives, the tools and the team, as well as the institutional framework and the funders (ANR/FCT). As an example, thanks to this event, new tracks were found, to include new seeds from key archaeological sites, within the C14 dating program.
Several members of the Poppy team were present at the IWGP congress (A. Salavert, F. Antolin, HR Oliveira, L. Martin, L. Bouby, R. Soteras).

The 19th IWGP conference
